Anglo-American Renews Partnership

Anglo logo

In January 2018 the Anglo-American Chairman’s Fund renewed its partnership with CCJD for the fifth consecutive year. The Fund has supported Bulwer Advice Office since 2012, and enables the offices’s two staff to carry out Bulwer Staffworkshops and school visits in the area, and to attend to clients at the office. Bulwer Advice Office deals with a relatively high proportion of cases that involve obtaining money for clients, mainly pensions and retirement funds. It attends to many domestic violence cases, and uses mediations and protection orders to end abuse.

The Chairman’s Fund also supports three community projects that the advice office staff (pictured right) have started – two creches that educate 35 pre-school children, and a home for eight orphaned and abandoned children. The grant enables the office to pay small salaries to six local women to manage these projects, and provides the children’s home with food and clothing.
