New Project with Mary Oppenheimer and Daughters Foundation
In September CCJD received a renewal of funding from the Mary Oppenheimer and Daughters Foundation for Madadeni Advice Office. The project is for the costs of the office for one year and will focus on combating domestic violence, using mediations and protection orders to bring an end to abuse. Just over half of the office’s cases involve gender-based violence, while staff also help clients to obtain documents and payments such as grants and maintenance, with a third of cases falling in this category.
The partnership with the Foundation began in 2013 and CCJD is grateful for the continued generous support. We look forward to implementing the project.
